Welcome to Paradise!

Welcome to Paradise!

Costa Rica is hot. Almost 30 percent of the country’s surface consists of protected jungle, one of the results of 40 years of consistent reforestation. In addition, Costa Rica abolished its army in 1948 and its energy supply has been 98% renewable for the past 6 years. The United Nations declared Costa Rica the ‘greenest country in the world’ in September 2019.

The Costa Rican jungle is teeming with wildlife. Your Green Circle Experience will offer you unrivalled opportunities to enjoy Costa Rica’s abundant flora and fauna wherever you go. Sloths, monkeys, crocodiles, toucans, turtles…..You can spot them anywhere and the Costa Rican nature is often very accessible. With or without a guide.

Costa Rica truly is a little paradise. And it is our responsibility to keep it that way. If you choose to book our Green Circle Experience, you choose to support that goal. But you also choose to live your dream in an unprecedented way.
Pura Vida!

Slo-Life Experience

Go with the slow!
Sloths represent the spirit of Costa Ricans; Tico’s & Tica’s. Take one step at a time. When travelling around Costa Rica you’ll often hear the country’s most famous slogan ‘Pura Vida’ or ‘Pure Life’. Go slow, enjoy, look around you, disconnect. Sloths are, just like Costa Ricans, easy going and friendly. If you look carefully you will maybe even see them smile!

Slo-Life
Slo-Life the car has all the above mentioned characteristics, but it is also comfortable and even fast. Sloths are being protected in Costa Rica, but this sloth does it the other way around, it protects people, especially women. Slo-Life supports the Ana Ross Foundation that fights breast cancer.

The Boshoff family, owners of the hotel and originally from South Africa, are highly committed to preserving the pristine nature surrounding the lodge. Therefore, sustainability was necessary to maintain its existence in the Savegre Valley. Starting with a raw piece of forest and overgrown cattle pastures, the Boshoff family had to find ways to survive in the wilderness and create the comforts necessary to host guests.
