Recommendations for Visitors
Visitors affected by the temporary closure can reschedule their visit by emailing poas.info@sinac.go.cr. MINAE also reminds the public not to enter through unofficial sites, as volcanic activity remains high.
Official Statements

The reopening of Poás Volcano is positive news for the local community and tourists. However, it is essential to adhere to the safety measures in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
